Katie and Adrian Cripps are thrilled to have taken over Pelican Rest as of May 2001. "It was where we recommended friends and family stay when they went to the northern beaches so when we knew the house was for sale we had to buy it. Now they can stay with us."

"The self-contained apartments are the best part about the house. They provide that perfect blend of privacy and the comfort of staying in someone's home," says Katie.

Adrian and Katie were both brought up overseas and have been great travellers ever since. They have stayed in literally hundreds of B&Bs around the world and are now putting some of that consumer experience to good use in their own home. "Most of all we want guests to come and enjoy themselves in one of the most wonderful places in Australia," says Katie. "The lifestyle here is unique. We have fallen in love with it and believe our guests will too."

Katie and Adrian have three young children and so are happy to welcome families. On the other hand, the excellent design of Pelican Rest means that guests' privacy is assured - the best of both worlds.
